OUR QUALITY COMMITMENT
At American Dress, quality is the foundation of everything we do. We are dedicated to creating premium sweaters that combine softness, warmth, durability, and style for our customers in the United States, Europe, and the United Kingdom. Every piece is designed, crafted, and inspected under strict standards to ensure you receive a product that meets the highest expectations. We believe that high-quality clothing is an investment, and we work hard to deliver value that lasts.
MATERIALS AND FABRICS
We carefully select only the best materials, chosen for their performance, comfort, and ability to keep you warm in different climates. Our main fabrics include:
- Premium Cotton: Soft, breathable, durable, and perfect for everyday use — resistant to fading and pilling.
- Wool Blends: Excellent thermal insulation, lightweight yet warm, and naturally soft to the touch.
- Acrylic & Viscose Mixes: Smooth texture, easy care, shape retention, and long-lasting color.
- Knitted Yarns: Specially processed to be gentle on the skin, hypoallergenic, and flexible.
All materials are tested for safety and comply with international regulations (including OEKO-TEX® standards), meaning they are free from harmful substances and safe for you and your family.
PRODUCTION AND INSPECTION PROCESS
Quality control happens at every stage, from the first design to the moment your order is packed:
- Selection: We source raw materials only from trusted, certified suppliers.
- Manufacturing: Our production follows precise patterns and stitching techniques to ensure perfect fit and structural strength.
- Detailed Inspection: Every single sweater is individually checked by hand. We examine seams, buttons, stitching, fabric texture, color accuracy, and measurements. We do not ship any item that shows defects, stains, loose threads, or irregularities.
- Final Check: Before packing, we verify again that the product matches the description on our website and is ready to be worn.
Because of this rigorous process, we are confident that you will receive a flawless product.
PRODUCT WARRANTY
We offer a manufacturer’s warranty on all our items, covering defects in materials or workmanship.
- Coverage: This warranty applies if you find a production fault, such as broken seams, fabric tears not caused by use, incorrect assembly, or material failure during normal use.
- Validity Period: The warranty is valid for 30 DAYS from the date you receive your order.
- How to Claim: If you identify a defect, contact us within this period with photos explaining the issue. We will verify the case and offer a free replacement, full refund, or repair — at our choice and with no cost to you.
⚠️ What is NOT covered:
- Damage caused by accidents, misuse, improper care, or negligence.
- Normal wear and tear, including slight pilling or fading over time (natural characteristics of knitted fabrics).
- Alterations or repairs made by anyone other than American Dress.
- Issues caused by failure to follow our care instructions.
CARE INSTRUCTIONS
To keep your sweater soft, beautiful, and in perfect shape for many years, please follow these simple guidelines found on the internal label of every product:
✅ WASHING
- Hand Wash Recommended: Best for preserving fibers and shape. Use cold or lukewarm water (max 30°C / 86°F).
- Machine Wash: If the label allows, use the delicate or wool cycle, low spin speed, and wash inside out.
- Detergent: Use mild, neutral soap or specific detergent for wool/knits. Do NOT use bleach or fabric softeners with strong chemicals.
- Do not soak for long periods, and wash similar colors together.
✅ DRYING
- Do NOT wring or twist the garment — gently squeeze excess water without stretching.
- Lay flat to dry on a clean, dry towel, away from direct sunlight or heat sources (radiators, heaters). This prevents stretching or deformation.
- Do NOT tumble dry unless the label explicitly says it is safe — high heat can shrink or damage the fabric.
✅ IRONING
- If needed, iron at low temperature (max 110°C / 230°F).
- Always iron inside out or place a cloth between the iron and the sweater to protect the fibers.
- Avoid pressing too hard or leaving the iron in one spot for too long.
✅ STORAGE
- Fold your sweaters instead of hanging them — hanging can cause them to stretch and lose shape over time.
- Store in a clean, dry place. Use natural repellents if storing for long periods.
NATURAL CHARACTERISTICS
Please note that our products are made with natural and high-quality fibers, which may present minor variations that are not defects:
- Slight differences in color or texture between batches (typical of natural materials).
- Minimal fiber shedding or pilling in the first uses — this is normal and will reduce after the first washes.
- Slight elasticity that allows the garment to fit comfortably and return to its original shape.
These characteristics are part of the beauty and quality of authentic knitted clothing.
DEFECTIVE OR WRONG ITEMS
If you receive an item that is damaged, defective, or different from what you ordered:
- Contact us WITHIN 7 DAYS of delivery, as stated in our Return & Exchange Policy.
- Send us clear photos of the product, the defect, and the packaging.
- We will resolve the problem immediately by sending a new item or issuing a full refund, covering all shipping costs.
We do not accept returns or exchanges for issues caused by improper washing, drying, or use that does not follow our guidelines.
